چکیده

The involvement of jasmonic acid (JA), different JA-related metabolites, salicylic (SA), indole-3-acetic (IAA) and abscisic (ABA) in the heat-induced cross-adaptation to chilling has been investigated citrus fruit. effects heating ‘Fortune’ mandarins at 37 ºC, storing them a temperature (2 ºC) after being exposed, or not, heat-conditioning treatment (3 d on levels these signalling molecules were examined. Jasmonate metabolism activation ºC was followed by that SA, then rise IAA drop ABA. Storage 2 transiently increased contents IAA, JA precursor, cis-(+)− 12-oxo-phytodienoic (OPDA), JA-derivatives jasmonoyl-isoleucine (JAIle) methyl jasmonate (MeJA), decreased ABA non-conditioned results also indicated fruit protected from developing symptoms virtue having higher JAIle than for very long cold storage periods, while rises OPDA MeJA noted cold-stored transient.

Transcriptome Profiling of Citrus Fruit Response to Huanglongbing Disease

Huanglongbing (HLB) or "citrus greening" is the most destructive citrus disease worldwide. In this work, we studied host responses of citrus to infection with Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (CaLas) using next-generation sequencing technologies. A deep mRNA profile was obtained from peel of healthy and HLB-affected fruit. It was followed by pathway and protein-protein network analysis and qua...

Modulation of Antioxidant Defense System Is Associated with Combined Drought and Heat Stress Tolerance in Citrus

Drought and high temperatures are two major abiotic stress factors that often occur simultaneously in nature, affecting negatively crop performance and yield. Moreover, these environmental challenges induce oxidative stress in plants through the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Carrizo citrange and Cleopatra mandarin are two citrus genotypes with contrasting ability to cope with the...

Evaluation of Cold Tolerance in Rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) Using Stress Tolerance Indices

In order to study the response of 120 genotypes of rapeseed (including 100 hybrids and 20 parents) in terms of cold stress tolerance, an experiment was conducted in α-lattice design with two replications under normal (September) and late sowing (October) conditions during two years. Combined analysis of variance showed that genotypes were significantly different at 1% and there was a significan...

Biologically Synthesized Gold Nanoparticles Ameliorate Cold and Heat Stress-Induced Oxidative Stress in Escherichia coli.

Due to their unique physical, chemical, and optical properties, gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) have recently attracted much interest in the field of nanomedicine, especially in the areas of cancer diagnosis and photothermal therapy. Because of the enormous potential of these nanoparticles, various physical, chemical, and biological methods have been adopted for their synthesis. Synthetic antioxidan...
